For me I got on this section and I found out my sun sign was Gemini. Then I saw a question about a chart so I asked a question some good chart sites. Well I calculated my chart and then I asked what it meant and such and I got more answers, and now I am just on here all the time now lol its been 5 about 6 months now since I first started

The majority of people I know look at their sun sign first though so they can get their horoscope out of the newspaper and so they can classify themselves if someone asks what they are. Sun sign is just the most general thing about zodiac. Pretty much everyone knows what they are except for these past few days because of that a-h0le on the news and facebook and such.

Is it strange to have two traits of zodiac signs?
I was born sept 18 and i am virgo but, i have alot of traits that relate to me alot that are from scorpio, im not sure but i think thats pretty cool. I even like the scorpio symbol more than my stupid virgo symbol.

Your Sun Sign (Virgo) is only one component of your birth chart… you could be Scorpio Rising, or have a Scorpio Moon or both, or have a Venus in Scorpio… or a Mars or Jupiter or whatever… so look at your entire chart, not just your sun sign.

I’m Libra Sun, and that is my only planet in Libra. The majority of my chart is Scorpio, followed by 2 planets + Ascendant in Capricorn. I act more like those than a Libra.

First you need to understand that you are NOT the sum total of your sun sign!
newspaper and magazine astrology is nothing related to the proper astrology that Astrologers use, this is just a pinch of salt entertainment sort. What they do is put each sun sign conjunct the Ascendant and read where the 10 planets fall in any one of the 12 houses. So when you have got your free chart from astro.com you will know your Ascendant sign, then if you want use this type of recreational fun, then you would look up your Ascendant sign to stand any kind of chance of having those planets in the right houses for you….

This is a VERY common mistake people around here make, but if ONLY you would dip your toe in the lovely warm water of astrology, soon you will be off swimming….

First you need to understand you are not the sum total of your sun sign. There are 10planets in a natal chart and they can be in any one of 12 houses…so that’s 144 combinations for each planet. Next, mercury can only be upto one sign away from your sun sign and venus can only be upto two signs away. Your natal chart is as unique as your fingerprints.

Planets are modified by signs, where they express are houses and how they express are *aspects.* the aspects are simply mathematical matters, which one planet makes to another. Think back to your school days, when an opposition = 180′ and a square =90′ a trine =120′ and these aspects are ‘facets of your personality’

The houses are like the backdrop of a stage, the setting if you like, the planets are like actors and the aspects are how the planets behave in that settings/stage…
