For horoscopes, which is it more important: the actual time of birth or the expected/natural time?
I’m a Virgo with hardly any Virgo traits, and almost all Libra. I was a preemie. Does this matter? Was I supposed to be a Libra?
Answer by CALI
actual time of birth is important
and u should focus more on ur ascendant in a birth chart
if that doesnt match, change from western horoscopes to Vedic horoscopes u might find that more accurate for urself

Time is the astrologer’s god. However, few people know their real birth time. You are counting on some intern to get it right, if you are lucky. What if the intern forgot about about a time change and did not set her watch? Now you better have a GPS in the delivery room. Some countries do not even record the time. In the British Commonwealth nations, time is not required just day. Except for twins, first out is the legal heir.
Some astrologers think that first breath by the baby is the switch that activates this magical concept. Premature births babies often need a ventilator because they can not breath on the own. So they are not taking crucial breathing on there own.
Not including the premature births, about one third of the births in the U.S. are induced labor or c-section. A lot of these may be of convenience (Based on a doctor’s golf game), a deadline, or an emergency. Not very natural. Now there is the science to freeze embryos for years beyond conception. Science can screw up what would be a “natural” birth time. As a parent, is it not better that medical science can save preemie’s lives? Instead of worrying about a made-up, ancient, unproved and bigoted concept? Not too long ago this may not happen.
If you choose to accept that people have no free will and are programed like computers, then you need a a proper chart. This will set all your stereotypes, so accurate time is vital. No astrologer will use a “what if” birth chart. Moon and Rising signs and the planet positions (real and made up) are very important to the astrologer. They need the whole picture. But also no two astrologers will have the same results. It is after all magical thinking.
Of course free will makes astrology pointless.
If it’s not science, it’s superstition.

The actual birth time is what matters. You could have a Mercury and/or Venus in Libra, your rising sign could be Libra… there are 10 planets in your chart. You need to look at the whole picture.

The time of birth for that moment is what counts, not the expected/natural time. Could you imagine if that was controllable and order a birth time?
As for being a Virgo and not having Virgo traits, Libras are perfectionist just as much as Virgoes. Virgo love to analyze and Libra love to weigh the pros and cons, see both sides before taking the decision. Virgos often base their relationships on intellectual stimulation and Libras love to communicate intellecually as well and both are reserved in their emotional expression, Virgo is reserved, Libra is superficial.
These are some of their similarities.
