Honest astrologers can likely tell you meaningful things about where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re going.
Problem is, there aren’t many honest astrologers.
Because it is not a science, it is an art, it’s a breeding ground for scammers.
Forget that daily horoscope stuff, no way is something written going to apply to 1/12 of the world population.
Astrologers who place your planets in a chart and talk about you as an individual are more likely to be honest. Anytime you run into that “Scorpios are like this, Geminis are like that; Leos get on best with Sagittarius, Libras get on best with Aquarius or Sagittarius” you’re not dealing with people who have a good grip on reality. There are too many different astrological elements that make up a person to be able to wedge them into a tiny box, 30 degrees wide.
I began studying astrology when I was 14 precisely because of the illogic of the “Aries is so and so…” It’s true that many things in astrology with which we work hit on cycles we encounter in life–the Saturn return for example around age 30; Venus also does this interesting little thing at 8 year intervals (remember your first big crush around age 8? …16? …24?), but it also spreads out, converges and shifts. Those are easy to see. Lives and bodies have a certain rhythm that coincide with movement of planets. It’s only natural, and not that remarkable.
More remarkable is why relationships that I’ve had that began when the moon is void of course (based on the old tropical zodiac) ultimately fail in very unpleasant ways. I don’t know why, I just know I’ve observed it, and after over 15 years of ignoring it, I gotta admit, things have been better since I’ve paid attention and steered clear of making decisions during the lunar void. Among other things.
So astrology is sometimes fake, sometimes not. It’s just like your friendly local psychiatrist/psychologist/counsellor. Sometimes they’re good, sometimes they’re bad. Sometimes they intentionally choose to scam people, sometimes they’re scamming people while they scam themselves that they know what they’re doing, when really they don’t..
Even medical doctors who earn their degrees based pretty much exclusively on scientific principles fail in the fine art of diagnosis… and the same way you would walk out on a doctor who tells you blood from a person of african descent won’t mix with blood from a person of asian descent, you should also walk out on someone who tells you something like “Capricorns don’t get along with Aquarius.” It’s a load of bunk.
Hope this puts it in perspective for you.

Astrology comes from Astronomy. Nothing fake about the science of the stars. Nine planets, science as well. But as far as Horoscopes and Astrology go, very separate things. Your horoscopes out of the paper, a magazine, etc. are primarily for entertainment and enjoyment. They are very general and really could to apply to almost any situation going on at the time-for anybody. Keep that in mind. Astrolgy is a very complex study that breaks down specifics in detail. I dont run my life based on my “chart” or anything but have found that in doing mine in full they’re pretty REAL. Try any book by the author Linda Goodman.
