Reoccurring Snake Dreams?
About 3 or 4 nights a week I have some sort of dream involving snakes. There are usually many snakes around me and they scare me very much. I cry in my dream and try to escape them but they are always around me. I am terrified of snakes in real life, but have never really had a close interaction with one.
Also I am in my mid 20’s and married, so I do not feel this dream is of a sexual nature.

I haven’t researched this, but I have heard from several sources that you can dream about the last thing you think about before you go to sleep. I’m not sure if its true, but its the best I’ve got. Maybe you are scared you will have a snake dream before you go to bed, so that is what you dream about.

I used have dreams just like that! Like the floor would be COVERED in coiled up snakes of all kinds too. Funny thing is in real life I actually love snakes but in the dreams they terrified meO_o
They stopped eventually but I still never found out why I was having them…

Audriana: Your question is hardly specific enough to provide any real feedback. Generally, though, snakes represent the life force, and more particularly, its sexual aspect. Even more specifically, snakes are symbolic of the penis. I would venture to guess that you are in early to mid adolescence since those are the years when sexual anxieties, pardon the pun, start to rear their head.
I wouldn’t worry overmuch about the dreams, but do advise you to educate yourself about sexuality – less through peer groups though than through reading. Sex is a powerful drive, and even more influential in the early years of sexual maturation when we are uncertain and inexperienced in handling the hormone driven thoughts and impulses that come with it. Be aware that there are lots of risks in sexual activity – STDs, betrayal (young people, especially in our culture which treats sex entirely too lightly in the mass media, are notoriously fickle) and, of course, pregnancy.
One final note, I know its a cliche’ but its really true, love waits.
