I’m a Libra, what is a good site to go to for my horoscope?
My birthday is 9/24/90 and all that I know about that is that I’m a Libra. Does anyone know any good websites I could go to to read my horoscope or get a more detailed one than the Yahoo Horoscopes?

Today will be a good day. Something may come up in the afternoon, don’t ignore it. Your relationships are on the up and up, but beware that one particular co-worker. This week your lucky stars shine. Begin a new business venture… blah, blah, blah.

There, just did your horoscope… see how vague and open ended it is. They’re all that way. Make of life what you will – don’t buy into this junk.

What does my moon star mean?
Can someone explain what moon and rising sign and sun means? I’m a pices-Aries cusp and my moon is libra, does that mean I’m not enemies with libra? Bc I love libras

None of these things mean anything at all. They are just bafflegab used my astrologers to make what they do seem “scientific.” It isn’t: it’s just old fashioned superstition.

You’re asking this in the wrong category. You’ll find “Horoscopes” under “Entertainment,” while “Astronomy & Space” is under “Science & Mathematics.” Yahoo!Answers knows that astrology is just an amusing pastime, not a science.

Astronomers are not fortune tellers. We predict real physical events in the real universe, not the imaginary effects of the planets on the inhabitants of a small planet in orbit around a yellow dwarf star.

Let me give you a bit of heart-felt advice. Please don’t base important decisions in your life on astrology. Look at your options, and make your decision based on factual information and what feels right to you, not on the hocus-pocus that some charlatan dreams up based on the supposed positions of the planets.

Rather than wasting your time on old superstitions, let me suggest that you read the link below, because it points out that not only is astrology wrong, but it is actually dangerous since it erodes our ability to think critically.

Ah, but do libras or anyone else love someone foolish enough to believe in the nonsensical crap of finding the placement of planets or stars of significance to anyone other than an astronaut going there?

hi, I have studied astrology for a while and am happy to provide you some answers here. Basically everybody has a birthchart base on the birthday, time and place of birth. This chart is mapped by the planets (yes it includes pluto) and the moon.

I am not sure what do you mean by pisces-aries cusp. Do you mean you have that as an ascendent? The ascendent can only be in one sign so you probably have to recalculate your chart (using some of the free software available). The rising sign or ascendent is the sign at the time of your birth. If the birthtime is not known, we cannot calculate this ascendent or rising sun. The ascendent is an indication of your personality and the physical looks of a person, it also is the key to reading the ongoings of the native’s life.

In astrology the sun represents your identity and sometimes relationship with the father. The moon represent how you feel emotionally and relationship with the mother or primary care giver. You know, some folks are really emotional whereas some people are cool all the time? If we see the moon sign we can have an understanding of that. Of course as we grow older, experience the character moves along so its not static. Hence the personality of children are more reflective of their astrological charts then older people.

My view of astrology is not that the planets determine who we are but that it just reflects a map that we are borned with. At the moment of birth, its like a photo is taken of the sky and we can have an inkling of how that person is like.

As for all the rest who debunked astrology, I am not sure why such a scientific thing has to be viewed so negatively. A good astrologer has to be good in maths because there is a lot of logic and chart readings involved. It is unfortunate that common street astrology in papers, magazines has tainted this field of study. It used to be the best minds in the ancient times who are mostly scientist or mathematicians like Kepler who study it indepth.
